  1. Identify aspects of the work-up of patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that have recently become relevant in clinical decision-making based on novel targeted therapy treatment options
  2. Cite new data that demonstrate a survival benefit from incorporating targeted therapy in combination with platinum-based doublet chemotherapy in patients with NSCLC
  3. Discuss the demonstrated clinical benefit of administering second-line therapy immediately after first-line chemotherapy vs when there is clear evidence of disease progression in patients with NSCLC
