Mission Statement

Future Oncology provides an important forum as we enter a new era of cancer care. The journal focuses on the most important advances in our understanding of cancer and its prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and highlights their relevance in the clinical setting. Furthermore, Future Oncology delivers essential information in concise, at-a-glance article formats – vital in delivering information to an increasingly time-constrained community. The journal includes news and views, full review articles, clinical research, literature awareness, concise commentary and analysis, and reports from the conference circuit.

Topics addressed include:

  • Biological processes involved in cancer and how new understanding will impact treatment
  • Clinical implications and applications for new biomarkers
  • Impact of molecular genetics on prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment
  • Integration of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches
  • Profiles of new anticancer agents
  • Selective and 'personalized' approaches
  • Screening programs and methodology

Articles are subject to peer-review by three independent referees on a double-blind basis. Authors publishing in the journal are asked to disclose any professional or financial interest that may be perceived as causing a conflict of interest in the context of the article.

The journal welcomes unsolicited article proposals.
